Before doing the mindfulness programme I had been meditating without any particular guidance. I would sit in silence for about 20 minutes trying to calm and slow my mind down to no thought which was a very difficult task to do as I thought this was the objective when meditating.
Doing the mindfulness programme has now equipped me with valuable tools which will help me when meditating. I now use techniques such as the full body scan to help me relax, focusing on my breath and just observing my thoughts and letting them go without any judgment.
I am able to focus more, being in the presence and go deeper into my meditations practises.

This is my 4th time teaching Soul-full Mindfulness live, and with each round it grows richer. In this new session, I’ve added self-acupressure techniques to complement meditation, while keeping our focus on: reducing stress, calming emotions, improving sleep, and supporting your overall well-being.
Short bio:
Hi I’m Viv (Vivinne Williams,) formerly an art professor. I’m now a holistic stress coach, meditation teacher and artist.
I began meditating in the Zen tradition in college in the 1990’s. I’ve attended and meditated for 10 hours each day for up to 6 weeks in silent retreats, led by Buddhist monks and Western teachers.
Most of my practice has been at the Insight Meditation Society, in MA. Full bio is here.
I’ve taught yoga & meditation privately, at New York Sports Clubs, Equinox, at two colleges to students/faculty & staff, and online.
